Forum: etree Subject: I NEED HELP!!!

Someone please help me! I'm very new to all of this stuff and I'm very confused. I have searched the web far and wide looking for a specific show, and I finally found it on archive.org! The show was GD 4-24-78. Now that I have downloaded, I cannot figure out how to play it! The type of file I downloaded was an SHN file, which I've heard of, but still seems like a foreign language to me. I'm sure one ofyoukindfolks can help me out with this. Drop me a line! I'm very eager to hear this show!! Thanks so much!!

Go to this site:

http://furthurnet.org/downloadarea/othertools.html

Download MkwAct. This will allow you to convert .shn files to .wav for burning or listening.

While you're at the site, there are other tools you may need. For example, you will need the Flac tools for shows that are in .flac format.

...and don't forget to extract (unzip) the files before you convert.

you need to go to www.etree.org and follow the instructions for installing the mkw compression tool. Once you've installed it, right click on all the files and decode them to wav. Then , you can burn them to cd or play them in your media player, winamp, windows media player, etc. If you have winamp, then at etree.org you can download and install shnamp, so that winamp will play them on the computer in shn format, but you cannot burn them to a cd and play it in your stereo until you convert the shns to wav
